This was an interactive video installation in which a willing participant is engaged with a video opponent in a tug-of-war confrontation. The physical end is represented by a static rope resting infront of flat projection surface. Simultaneously, there is a video projection of an imaginary opponent holding the other end of the rope. The installation aimed to demonstrate Byron Reeves and Clifford Nass finding that physical-to-screen interaction could be perceived as physical-to-physical one even if one is fully aware in of its media nature. The outcome of the project was an innovative, captivating and very engaging media experience, demonstrating a novel way of connecting screen media with physical world.
